Powers of Attorney Fees and Charges

Power of Attorney document preparation

When your Power of Attorney is prepared by NSW Trustee & Guardian you can appoint a person of your choosing to act as attorney or choose NSW Trustee & Guardian for independent and impartial services. When you have both your Power of Attorney and Will planning ahead documents prepared by us, you receive a discount of $110.

Power of Attorney preparation services are provided free for people eligible for a full Centrelink Age Pension (including people receiving other government benefits, such as a Department of Veterans' Affairs Pension, who would otherwise be eligible for a full Centrelink Age Pension).

Method of payment

Payment for planning ahead services including the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship documents, and Will Safe storage can be made by EFTPOS. This includes Visa, Mastercard and prepaid cards available from Australia Post, Woolworths and Coles. NSW Trustee & Guardian does not accept cash, cheque, American Express, or Diners Club cards.

Active Power of Attorney 

If you appoint NSW Trustee & Guardian to act as your attorney, the following fees apply when this role is activated under a Power of Attorney.

Management	1.1% of the value of income producing and investment assets managed by NSW Trustee & Guardian (excluding principal place of residence) Minimum fee of $1,100
Account keeping	$132 per year

For the investigation and lodgement of tax returns a minimum $275 (incl. GST) up to one hour and up to $220 (incl. GST) for additional hours if required. If legal work is undertaken for you by external legal service providers their costs will be additional to NSW Trustee & Guardian fees.
