Have your say about living in aged care
La Trobe University and the Summer Foundation are completing a study to find out about the impact of the NDIS on the lives of young people living in aged care.
The aim of the research is to understand how the NDIS is supporting people to achieve their goals, particularly in relation to their housing needs and preferences. The knowledge gained through this research will be used to improve systems and support.
The research involves interviews with people living in aged care and their close others by phone or Zoom. Participants will receive a $40 Coles/Myer voucher for each interview.
If you are supporting someone under 65 years in aged care, please go to the Summer Foundation research page or contact elroy.dearn@summerfoundation.org.au. A research team member will contact you to tell you more about the study.
Younger people and close others looking for independent support to assist in navigating housing and support options to leave or prevent entry into aged care can connect with the Housing Hub to explore supports available.
